Board of Trustees | Supervisor | Treasurer | Clerk | Agendas & Meeting Minutes The Township Board is the
legislative body for Gaines Township. The officers of the Board
are Supervisor,
Clerk,
Treasurer and
four Trustees. The
Supervisor serves as Board Chairman and the
Clerk serves as
Recording Secretary. Along with the day to day supervision of
the Township, the Board sets
the millage rate for Township operations, approves spending, adopts
Budgets, Resolutions, and Ordinances and votes on other matters that
come before the Board. The Township Board members are elected
by the voting residents of the township and as such feel it is their
responsibility to stay current with the desires and needs of the
citizens.
Gaines Charter Township is governed by
Township Board made up of seven members. The Township Board acts as
the legislative body empowered to enact ordinances, set a budget,
and make policy decisions for the general functioning of the
Township. The Township Board meets on the 2nd Monday of each month,
beginning at 7:00PM, in the Board Room located at the Gaines
Township Offices at
8555 Kalamazoo Ave SE.
